Conscious rest is so rejuvenating

Hello again,

We are well and truly into spring here on the Sunshine Coast! The days are certainly getting longer and warmer. To balance the firery energy of summer, I'm offering a  cooling, gentle  8 week course, starting October 19th.
These classes offers 40 mins of gentle fluid movement to dissolve physical tension, followed by 20 mins of deep guided meditative rest. A very therapeutic class, designed to help you understand, in an embodied way, the true value of self care.
This is an 8 week course, and is aimed at preparing you for the hectic times of the 'silly season'

Conscious rest is so rejuvenating, it renews your energy, relaxes muscles and calms the nervous system helping to combat the negative effects of stress.  I truly believe that the practice of relaxation is one of the best things you can do for your health and wellness.
Sometimes, the best thing we can do for ourselves  - and others - is to STOP overextending, to stop being goal oriented and to stop thinking that we have to take care of EVERYTHING right NOW.

Together we can make a difference!

Do It In A Dress


Do it in a Dress is an organisiation that helps girls in Sierra Leone to be educted. Education ,which we can so easily take for granted can really help a girl have a better life, a better community and a better future.

On Saturday 17th October, Aussie Yogi's Unite will raise both funds and awareness to providing education for some of the most deserving people in the world. It is very humbling and an honour to be a part of this initiative. Im going to teach a yoga class in a dress and ask my students to practice in a dress.

This is a weekend devoted to the skills of meditation and teaching meditation.
Yoga has given us a wealth of techniques for accessing our inner wisdom. Nature is wild and serene. The same is true of our inner nature. Yoga meditation is juicy when we work with nature, with our natural impulses – to explore, play, nurture, rest, nest, bond, mate, and be at home.

The workshop is a skills lab, in which we alternate a few minutes of theory with many minutes of practice.

Participants who complete the full weekend will recieve a certificate of completion

Dr. Lorin Roche has been teaching meditation for over forty years and is author of Meditation Made Easy and The Radiance Sutras. To study meditation with Lorin is a gift - both for new students who are interested in learning how to find an approach that speaks to them, and for seasoned meditators who want to refresh their technique.
