This app features 11 relaxation exercises. These exercises
were designed for children aged 4-12 years old. We created these relaxation
activities for use in the classroom, but they can be used at home as well.
It’s important that your child/student is comfortable. They
may sit or lay down. Make sure that they feel safe and secure, and take a few
breaths before beginning and a few slow breaths to close the practice and
return to the classroom activities or to sleep, if at home. Some exercises are very short, and
could be applied as a transitional activity to help your child focus and
prepare for learning, or reduce anxiety.
Here at Schools Wellness Project, we are committed to
supporting teachers, carers and parents; giving them the skills to enhance
children’s development through use of yoga-based relaxation and movement
exercises. We create quality resources to enhance the learning environment and
enable children to use their inner resources to face life’s challenges.
